Use this page to understand the product flow before creating an account. The dashboard has deeper in-app help after sign-up, but the core concepts and access boundaries are documented here.

Quick Backtest overview →Backtest Pass adds saved full backtests, reusable setups, exports, comparison views, and broader review workflows for ideas that deserve more than a quick run.
Compare access tiers →Researcher adds Research Lab scans, strategy-fit review, parameter optimization, robustness scoring, trust warnings, and walk-forward validation.
Researcher features →Paper Trading Beta is request-only, and live-capital access remains owner-only during the pilot. Paid research tiers do not include public live trading access.
Deployment roadmap →Tier Boundaries
The first public launch is intentionally research-first. Broker-connected paper testing is reviewed separately, and live-capital trading is not sold as part of Starter, Backtest Pass, or Researcher.
Starter
Quick backtests for first-pass research.
Backtest Pass
Saved full runs, exports, and comparison workflows.
Researcher
Research Lab scans, optimization, and robustness review.
Review the built-in strategy families before running tests: moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, VWAP, ATR, stochastic, price rate of change, and volume momentum.
Use drawdown, trade count, win rate, profit factor, Sharpe, Sortino, and the trade list together. No single metric is enough to trust a strategy.
OpenWaters provides self-directed research software. Backtests, scans, marketplace listings, and leaderboard entries are informational tools, not investment advice.
Create a Starter account when you are ready to run quick backtests. Upgrade only when a setup deserves saved history, exports, scans, or optimization.
